What We Do
Interior Design Hampstead is an online matching platform built for homeowners across Hampstead, Belsize Park, Highgate, St John’s Wood, and the wider NW London area. We connect you with vetted independent interior designers who specialise in the type of project you are planning — whether that is a full home renovation, a single-room redesign, a period property restoration, or a contemporary new-build fit-out.
We are not an interior design practice. We do not employ designers. Instead, we maintain a curated network of independent professionals and studios whose skills, specialisms, and project approach have been reviewed against clear criteria before they join the platform.
How the Matching Works
The process is straightforward:
- You post your project. Fill in our brief form with your project type, location, budget range, timeline, and any style preferences or constraints (such as listed building status or conservation area restrictions).
- We review and match. We assess your brief against our network, considering the designer’s specialism, availability, experience with similar properties, and alignment with your budget and style direction.
- You receive a curated shortlist. Typically two to three designers, each selected because their expertise and approach fit your specific project.
- You choose. Review the introductions, speak with the designers you prefer, and proceed only if you find the right fit. There is no obligation at any stage.
Why NW London
North-West London has a distinctive residential character: Georgian terraces, Victorian villas, Edwardian semis, mansion flats, and post-war modernist homes sit alongside each other, often within conservation areas with Article 4 directions. Interior design here requires specific local knowledge — understanding planning sensitivities, period detailing, and the expectations of homeowners in areas like Hampstead, Frognal, Primrose Hill, and Hampstead Garden Suburb.

How We Vet Designers
Before any designer is added to our matching network, we review:
- Portfolio of completed projects, with emphasis on relevant property types and local experience.
- Professional qualifications and memberships (BIID, SBID, or equivalent where applicable).
- Client references from recent projects.
- Insurance and business credentials.
- Communication approach and project management process.
This is not a directory where anyone can list themselves. We accept designers by invitation or application only, and every profile is reviewed before it goes live on the platform.
Free for Homeowners
Submitting your project and receiving matched introductions is completely free. There is no fee to post, no commitment to proceed, and no obligation to hire any of the designers we introduce. Our service is funded by the designer network, not by homeowner fees.
